The CHCNAV BB4 is a high-performance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system that combines CHCNAV’s advanced geospatial technology with DJI’s industry-leading autonomous flight control systems. The CHCNAV BB4 is specifically engineered for professional surveying and mapping tasks. Its lightweight and portable design allows for quick deployment—users simply need to attach the propellers and antennas, and the drone is ready for flight. Thanks to its compact form factor, the BB4 requires only a minimal take-off and landing area.
Payload Capacity and Versatility.
The BB4 supports a payload capacity of up to 7 kg. For generating highly accurate 3D point clouds, it can be equipped with both a CHCNAV LiDAR/Scanner and a DSLR camera simultaneously. The drone is also compatible with oblique camera systems for 3D photogrammetry missions. For agricultural and plantation analysis, a multispectral camera can be mounted, enabling precise vegetation monitoring and analysis.
Advanced Positioning and Navigation.
The BB4 integrates dual DJI A3 IMUs and GNSS modules, working in conjunction with CHCNAV’s Advanced Positioning Solution. This system includes a high-end GNSS receiver and a best-in-class inertial measurement unit (IMU), delivering high-precision positioning essential for professional-grade surveying and mapping applications.
Flight Endurance
The CHCNAV BB4 offers up to 55 minutes of flight time with a 1 kg payload and approximately 40 minutes with a 5 kg payload, allowing for extended coverage and efficient data collection in the field.
Flight Control and Mission Automation
Powered by DJI’s Lightbridge 2 flight controller with an operational range of up to 5 kilometers, the BB4 is operated via the DJI Ground Station Pro application. Flight missions can be fully automated through customizable workflow settings, significantly increasing operational efficiency and reducing human error. All flight data is securely stored in the cloud for easy access and management.
